Compliments

Life!
What a word for all there is.
The sweet Earth and minerals,
The clever creatures living within
those powerful churning rivers.
Talks of a great energy above us, around us
With us from birth to death.
The energies following us, watching us,
Protecting us from the worst
or hurting us for the better
Mighty beings we don’t see,
Mysteries yet to be found for another thousand years,
And another and another.
Secrets within we didn't even know we don't.
Life!
What a word encompassing us.
The amazement all around,
The experiences we all feel,
The impossible ventures we all take.
So full and filled,
So independent and free.
Blue crystal oceans,
Deep enough for swimming stars to find a home.
Beautiful floating lights deep beneath us.
Such a simple word,
Life,

to compliment the death that awaits us all.

The Lone Beauty

Fathoms around,
Nowhere to turn
But yes! There was a way. To turn around.
Towards another abyss…
Not unpleasant, though some say.
Not unlikely to come
This way, I mean.
The loneliness befriends those who are willing.
It’s always been a part of me
No, apart from me.
He never stays for long.

I fade away,
Door to door.
They see me sometimes.
Don’t bother
No use finding me.
I hear them.
A young girl, elegant blue green dress
The colors once vibrant with life,
Now lost to the aging time.
Her skins fair with innocence,
Her hair free like
Like newly spun silk waving in airs of Earth.
I hear them.

They don’t say much
Because they don’t know much.
I wish I could say.
Wish I could tell.
No. Yell.
I wish I could yell.
It’s lonely here.

I turn around,

And greet a new Emptiness.

Calming War

The weathers of my heart collide
As my world spins around me.
Clouds erupt all around my home.
Dust sticks to the air, suffocating and blinding my ambition.
I’m lost in a world that was all my own.
A void now blankets the burning rage that followed me here.
The love that flourished once now gone.
The war zone that destroyed all now calm.
Only I remain standing.

But not for long.
